I managed to get out this morning for a couple of hours before work. I tried my luck below the bridge for an hour with no action, although my record up in that area is spotty at best. I headed downstream for the last hour and managed to land a nice fat 19 inch rainbow on a size 20 black WD-40. Thanks to JT for some fly suggestions.
I wish I had brought my camera along as it was a very pretty fish. I would have liked to have stayed a while longer, but work called. I did have the entire creek to myself today and was surprised that no one else was out on such a beautiful morning.
Yeah I'm afraid finals have me on lock down too. It is hard to finish those last few bits of reading, somehow my thoughts always seem to return to fishing. And when I'm supposed to be writing six page essays on the role of the untrustworthy narrative in some god awful book, I am writing six page fishing articles instead? I must be going nuts! Oh well, at least I can live vicariously through the reports on this page!

Well, maybe after finals I will meet up with you guys on the creek. I usually get out on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for a couple of hours. I teach college chemistry and don't have class those days until 1pm. I must say, it is truly better to give than to receive when it comes to final exams.
