Hey everyone I'm new to the board and also to Putah.  She's been kicking my butt lately but I'm not giving up!  Anyways I was looking over the forum and I had some concern over a post about a guy walking all over the redds of some fish.  I realized that I don't know what they look like or what areas they might be in, and I don't want to make the same mistake as that other guy.  If you guys can just let me know what to look out for while I'm out there I along with all of the trout out there would be very thankful.
Charlie

Shallow water, moderate current, gravel bottom, on the gravel bottom you can see small cleared out areas were the trout have laid eggs. Keep at it, putah kicks my butt all the time. Welcome to the board I have found it a very valuable source of info.

Tailouts are a popular spot for spawning fish, because they usually have the gravel that the fish need to lay their eggs in.  Wherever you see shallow, flowing water with clean gravel, fish will probably spawn in it.  This time of year I try to stay out of the water.  It's safer that way.

Welcome to the board, Charlie.
