I fished the creek on Saturday, the 20th. I got there about noon and fished until about 4 pm. There was a nice Baetis hatch, and the fish were rising all over the place. I used a small mayfly, an egg, and a midge pupa. At one point, I even tried a caddis pupa. I hooked about 20 fish but only managed to land 2--a 12"er and a 17"er. Some of the hooked fish were HUGE. I didn't have any breakoffs. They were just able to throw the tiny hooks. Both of the fish landed were on a little olive zebra midge. They may have been taking it as a mayfly, though.

Where on the creek did you fish? I've gotten action up by the bridge and a little further downstream but nothing else seems to be happening any lower. Just curious how everyone else is doing.
I was fishing near the bridge on Saturday. Lately I've been fishing up there and I've been catching some nice fish. A couple of weeks ago I fished near #2 and saw some nice ones but didn't catch any.

Fished on Monday the 22nd. Fish were jumping below the bridge in the morning. Got one hit on a zebra midge. Tried eggs and PT...No luck.
Moved down by the picnic table, behind the store, and saw several trout sitting just below the surface and occasionally they would school up and go cruising for a lap around the hole. I chucked everything I could at them and they didn't even take a look.
Headed down to Access 2. After getting really hung up in a tree I sat down to tie on a new leader and saw two nice sized trout in the current feeding away. Scrambled to get my rig resetup and threw an olive colored zebra with a copper colored bead head and hooked up with a 15incher. Guess I should have spent more time tying my fly on because it popped off as I was about to net the fish.
JT..I noticed you also use an olive version of zebra. Has this worked well for you on the creek? I just started tying them up because I see tons of small green midges on the rocks.
I have been fishing olive midges for a while now. I fish black ones, too, and red as well. The color that I fish usually depends on what type of water I'm fishing, water clarity, light conditions, etc.
