Looking for a little help please.

I'm looking at getting a longer than 9'-0 rod for some Tight-Line and Euro Nymphing. I've checked out but not cast the Greys Streamflex and the Hardy Sintrix Zenith rods. Does anybody have any experience with the Zenith line of rod's, or the Streamflex line?

Also the Hardy Zenith line and the Sage ESN line are about the same in price but how do they compare? I can't find any info comparing the two.

What did you go with?  I have a Cabella's 10ft for 4wt and really like it. It's great for fish up to 16" or so but feels outgunned when I run into bigger fish on the Putah.

Hello drdan,

I ended up going with a 10' 4 wt. Hardy Zenith rod. An Hardy Ultralight 4000 DD Black reel paired with an extra spool. I lined it with the new Rio Ultimate Euro line (bad ass line BTW) on one spool and a 4 wt Rio Gold on the other.

The rod highsticks great, tosses indicators great, does the whole Euro thing great, and tosses a dry like a champ. The reel is super light, takes up line very fast, and has a silky smooth drag. Overall I'm very pleased with what Hardy has done here. Rio has a real winner as well.

The system kicks major butt, (for me anyway), other will surely argue that point. I haven't hooked any really large fish on Putah yet but I have landed a couple of respectable ones with ease.

I have it on good authority that this rod will put the hammer down on even the biggest of the Truckee monsters as well. Doug recommended this rod to me and assured me with photos of his many fish landed by him with this rod as proof. Here's a picture of Doug and Howard Croston (designer of the Zenith rod) on the Truckee.

Well I did some research and found more of what I was looking for. I did a little test casting before I finally chose a nice rod reel and line for myself.
