I added about 30K miles on the old SUV last year in search of good trout waters. From Mt.Whitneys Cottonwood Lakes to the Upper Sac and back. There wasn't a side water, riffle, or pond I didn't hit...hard.
I am happy to report that ol' Putah has them all beat and my CPF (cost per fish) has gone way down
Here's some images from the latest run up there last month. All small #20-22 Zebra Midges or PT Flash Backs. I caught about 6 fish in two hours all healthy spawners with lots of fight in them and a few surprises.
I would also like to point out that this is also the friendliest stretch of waters I have fished in a year or two. Nice folks with helpful tips every time I go up.
