I found some contradicing info in the dfg freshwater regs. It says all Kent lake(marin) tribs. are open to fishing from the last sat. in april to nov. 15th, but it also says lagunitas creek closed to fishin all year. Isn't the creek that runs from alpine dam to kent lake a part of lagunitas creek, and also a kent lake trib.?
LOOK AT THIS WEB SITE http://www.museumca.org/creeks/1780-RescLagunitas.html. ONCE THERE LOOK AT ALPINE LAKE, THERE IS A CREEK THAT FLOWS OUT OF IT. THAT IS LAGUNITAS CREEK WHICH IS ALSO A TRIBUTARY TO KENT LAKE
My interpretation of the regs is that Lagunitas Creek is closed to fishing all year. I live in Fairfax and have seen people fly fishing below the Alpine dam. It is fairly hard to argue with the game wardens saying that Lagunitas Creek above Kent Lake is a tributary to Kent Lake when the regs say that Lagunitas Creek is closed to fishing all year. I would check with Fish and Game before fishing this area in April. I do believe the regulation on Lagunitas Creek is meant to protect the salmon and steelhead below the Kent Lake dam.
this is getting pretty funny... daara it sounds like your looking for some spots to fish so try this website its a list of some really good spots and some info on em, Hopefully someday i can say i've tried em all
hmmmm not sure why the link doesnt work but check out the site this way, theres enough spots listed to keep anyone busy for a very long time, just gotta be willing to do some driving in most cases. goto www.dfg.ca.gov , then click on fishing-freshwater, then click on heritage and wild trout info, then click on wild and heritage trout waters, then take your pick of the areas listed, northern waters, southern waters, east slope waters, west slope waters, or coastal streams
