Well I played hookie from work and spent a couple of hours on the creek this morning.
With all the rain we had Thursday it didn't seem to have any inpact on the water levels or clarity but it might have hampered my fish catching abilities...yeah yeah thats my excuse.
Lots of Hooded and Common Mergansers, one Osprey that just grabbed a 12-14" trout, a few fisherman and a few beat up looking fish. Hiked a little ways up one canyon looking for some pig sign but came up empty.
I did see quite a few decent sized beat up fish. They looked just like a Salmon that has seen better days. The biggest might have gone 4-5lbs but most were smaller. Out of the dozen or so I saw all but one was in a tailout holding in 2ft of water or so.
I stoped off at the diversion dam on the way back to get a glimps of the Salmon down there but didn't see any. As expected all the gates are closed with just a little water coming out the pipe on the near side. That area sure has changed over the years.
