I caught and landed my biggest fish yet! A 21" Brown that must of gone for at least 4-5 punds maybe a little more (this maight be small to others, but for me it was my 15 minutes of fame!). I caught him in Almanore on a crawler, yes, I was using a spinner setup and not my fly rod, but I like to fish light and I only had a 2lb test leader on it. And yes I did keep him and share him with the family. So if your against the whole spinner or actually keeping a fish for dinner thing then dont reply cause I dont want to hear it (I keep maybe 1 in a 100 fish literally). So there is a little fish tale that Ive been dying to share with everybody and good luck out there wherever you are fishin'!
Great catch man. . As for keeping him, dont worry too much about it, I try to release as many fish a possible, but sometimes, you have one hooked deep or just perfect for the platter. Everyone has spinfished at sometime in there life, and although I think some aspects of it are much easier than ff, a 5 lb brown on 2 lb line is an accomplishment in my book. Great job
