What to look for?

Im a novice when it comes to knowing when and where fish spawn and that seems to be a concern on this page for this time of year. So a few questions are what kind of water and or bedding on the bottom does this occure (also areas on the creek to avoid). Also Ive caught some rainbows that are a real bright reddish color and somebody also told me that that is an indicator, is it. So a little help would be appreciated because I plan on fishing there tomorrow.

Thanks

Tailouts and small rock/gravel bottoms. Basically if you see fish in shallow water they are probably spawning/pre-spawn/post-spawn (enjoying a smoke) ect.

There are a number of places on the creek that year after year have good conditions for fish to spawn in and with no supprise are used by the fish each year. If you see fish chances are they are spawning.

With luck you don't find too many people up there the day after Thanksgiving. On the flip side poison oak has no leaves this time of the year but still gives you that wounderful rash.
