north fork/ clearwater river

Just got back from Idaho, fishing the north fork of the clear water river. My buddie and I go up there a couple of times a year. It's strictly west slope cutthroat and bull trout. Lots of them. In the summer, its 100 % dry fly and in the late summer through fall its 50/50 drys and nymphs. There are a number of nice campsites with water and very clean bathrooms. This summer I landed a 31 inch bull trout on a #14 elk hair caddis. Its pretty rare to get these guys to take a dry but I've got pictures. To add to how bizzare it was to get this guy on a dry I was fishing a 3 wt. pfluger I bought in Libby for 90.00. Its not fancy like my winstons or powells, but its a great rod. Last week all three of my buddies and my self experienced bulls snatching or trout while trying to land them. I almost netted one, its like they are oblivious to you. If anyone ever gets a chance to go up there you will have a great trip and the river is one of the most beautiful I've seen in Montana or Idaho.
