i was curious if anyone has ever had good luck fishing below the solano lake diversion dam. i caught one 12 inch planter down there the other day, i only tried for about 20 mins at the end of my day. someone told me years ago that there were some big browns down there, could this be true? i have had some really good largemouth and smallmouth bass around winters down to stevensons bridge area, anyways any info. would be much appreciated.

Yes there are rainbows and very very few browns below Lk Solano. The access is very limited and so are the fish, also only a couple of places worth fishing because it gets slow and carp-like as it meanders downstream, also beware of the landowners they do not like trespassers.  Greg
