looking for a place for crayfishes around lake Berryessa

I went to "Putah Creek Wheelchair Trail & Restroom" and "Putah Creek Public Fishing Acces" last week to try to catch some crayfish. However, it took us like 2 hours only to get 11 of them.

Does anyone know a better location to catch crayfish more easily? Thanks!

Has anyone tried the Lake Berryessa boat loading area or how about the Lake Solano County Park area?

Thanks!

The last crawfish boil I was at, the crawfish were purchased online and shipped overnight from Louisiana. That was roughly 8-10 years ago and prices have gone up. If you are looking for a boil for a large group of people it's still probably your best/easiest bet. Prices for live crawfish seem to vary quite a bit from $3-$10/pound. Interestingly enough it seems to be a seasonal thing with most I saw as listed out of stock. Just a few from google search.

The otters probably put a pretty good dent in the crawfish population in Putah. You could always try the sloughs or start knocking on doors of rice farmers. Lots of crawfish in the rice fields.
