128 is still closed at Pleasant Valley. As soon as it opens up I will try to make it up there. We can only hope it’s not as bad  as the fire map makes it look.

The creek is scorched earth on both sides of the creek from Lake Solano to about access 3, then its just the back side of the creek all the way to Canyon Creek. I'm assuming fishing the creek is closed, but yet I noticed some people still fishing today. Sad really. Is it closed to fishing? I don't really know why you wouldn't want to give the creek a break after it recently got scorched. I was under the assumption that the entire creek was under the "Putah Creek wildlife area" is closed to fishing/hunting. All the access area parking is closed too. Can we get a clarification on the fishing? I would appreciate it, thanks!

On the CDFW news feed it says the Wildlife area is closed until the end of the year. The Wildlife area map is on the CDFW page. wildlife.ca.gov/Lands/Places-to-Visit/Putah-Creek-WA The wildlife area is basically from Cold Creek to Around Access 1 on the non road (South side of the creek?). I think CDFW posted signs in 2015. There is a green area on the map showing fish access areas at the edge of the creek below Canyon Creek resort. Oh just look at the map and look for closure signs. If in doubt you should use established trails.

Dude, the fish live in the WATER. Why exactly would you need to give them a "rest"? And the flow is still 450cfs so there is plenty of deeper water to hole up in. If you actually GO down to the creekside you will see that the fire, for whatever miraculous reason, did not burn down to the banks. The problems will come in the rainy season when all of the ash will be deposited in the water, not to mention sediment from the hill sides.

Any update on if Putah is open? It looks like a lot of places are opening tomorrow but I can't find anything concrete regarding Putah. I'm itching to get out somewhere this weekend.

The Yolo FA 1,4,5 are open. Last week the parking lots at the bridge we’re still closed. Be careful out there!
