New 10 ft Syndicate Rod

Old Lamson Guru Reel

I cried.

Swept away in the water at the downstream end of the little island near the deer crossing sign today - 5/16/2020.  I was on the little sand bar at the downstream end of the island.

Lots of honest people out along the creek, you at least got a chance. Best of luck.

Did you have any line out or were you rigged for walking? Bill Carnazzo once lost a rod while actively fishing a deep pool in the Sierra but was able to retrieve it after sitting on the bank and waiting. He was using a dry fly with a floating line and enough of the line was out of the reel so that eventually the line rose to the surface. Bill swam out, got a hold of the line and swam back to shore. He started pulling and pretty much drew all of the line out of the reel. It ultimately unwound down to the spool but the spool knot held and he recovered the rod and reel. Here’s hoping yours is recoverable.
