I wouldn’t mind it too much if there was some guarantee that the money collected would only be used for improvements to the creek. So, if a guide comes out to the creek with a van load of clients and I’m out there by myself, we both pay $10? Shouldn’t it be on a per person basis rather than per car?

When comments originally opened, I said the same thing about the allocation of money. I'm all for it if the money goes specifically towards these areas. Then again, improvements probably means more traffic. But, I assumed the parking fee would be more in the 3-5$ range. $10 seems quite high.

I agree $10 is high, they haven't done all that much in improvements to these areas. Typically they only enforce parking fees up until the tweakers vandalize the money collection stations anyways, most likely won't be long... Pretty sure charging per person won't happen, that's what a fishing license is for. Maybe annual fees/permits for guiding on the creek could be established.

Allocation of money and improvements. My feeling is that allocation of money will end up in the general fund and individuals ideas of area improvements means a lot of different things to many people and not a lot to the fish. I don't think Lois Wolk did the creek any favors.

Worth it to me just to keep the tweakers away. Guides should pay extra ;)

Can someone give me an update on this? The information I got from the website shows that it's $8 and that access 3 is closed due to washout of the parking lot.

Do I have to pay at each access or will paying at one be okay for all the other accesses? I like to access hop.

Just received notice from Yolo County that Use Fees are expected to start August 1, 2019. Individual Day use passes are available on site. I've asked that a seasonal pass application be made available for download, completion and then mailed to YC. Passes then are mailed back to you. They hope to have the application form to me tomorrow.

Daily fees are paid via iron rangers at sites 1, 4, and 5 (and Site 3 once repaired). Fees are as follows:

Single Day Use $10.00
Annual Parks Day Use Pass (Yolo County resident)	$90.00
Annual Parks Day Use Pass (non-resident)	$100.00
Annual Parks Day Use Pass (Senior (65+) Yolo County resident)	$50.00
Annual Parks Day Use Pass (Senior (65+) non-resident)	$60.00

Out of curiosity, how much is the fine for parking without paying the fee and who is responsible for the enforcement?

Annual Pass applications can be downloaded at this link, completed and mailed with check/money order to the address on the application. Permits will be mailed back.

$10 "Day Use" passes are good at all accesses for the day.

Guides should pay extra ? I already pay extra I just payed for 2 passes one for me and one for clients , $200.00 for the year , Plus my permit, Liability Insurence , I supply waders/buuts, Flys replace rods when they get broken ect ect

make guides pay double on everything

I see no reason guides should be treated any different. Stick it to the man and big business, gotta pay their fair share right????? The parking permits are per vehicle, not per person. If Richard chooses to buy a pass for clients use, that's on him. He can recoup costs via his guide rates or just eat the cost, which sounds more like Richard. Granted, permits, insurance, waders etc have NOTHING to do with parking permits'.

Out of curiosity, I get the impression that this is a Yolo county thing and not a Solano county thing. Does that mean that parking above the bridge (Solano side) is free? There are site improvements to that area, though I think it caters mostly to the trail hikers. If it's part of Wolks work from years past (it is in Senate District 3) then I'm not sure why there would be a separation.

I don't remember if there was ever an Iron Ranger at the big lot above the bridge. I know at one time the smaller lot on the downstream side of the bridge was blocked off, as recent as 1993ish? I do remember a LOT of people choosing to park all along 128 to avoid paying the parking fees. Addition of no parking signs along 128 to force people into the fee lots would be unfortunate for creek access but imagine how much pressure it could reduce in "remote" areas. It might be something to watch out for.
