got there at 6, gate was locked. wasn't opened untill after 7:30. Went fishing and quickly caught  my first fish.  It was exactly 3 inches long. Then the wind came up from the west and rendered my new two weight useless for casting dries. Reverted back to nymphs and caught five more, the largest of which was 8", the average was 6".By then the 100f heat wore me down so I retreated up the hill to my car. Had a cold beer and then proceeded to do a tick search. Found 4 on my waders. This was my second Saturday in a row and except for the gate being open the first trip, they were identical. In closing, f$&@ all of that, I won't go back until the sprats have a year or two on them. If I'm gonna fry myself I will do it at the Yuba.

Where do you typically fish on the Lower Stan?  I haven't been in a while but just about went this week to fish the stretch just below Goodwin.

I was fishing down at two mile bar. Is there a trail to get to the Goodwin dam area? And if so, where would it be?
