Record fish in the creek?

Been fishing the creek for a few years now and today had easily my largest trout ever on my line. 24" roughly and fat as hell! Unfortunately after a few massive jumps it spit my hook out.  I've seen others catch that size and a couple larger but what is the biggest caught out of here? Curious.

24" fish is only a 24" fish if you get a chance to measure it. Let's just call it a good fish. Big boys coming up from Solano. They're getting ready for the spawn. Almost time to give them a rest for the season. Someone had told me they hooked a 30" but I wasn't there soooo who's to say. That's the biggest I've heard caught. Biggest I've seen was 26", measured. But there are fish in there that'll put a 7 wt rod to work for sure. Those monsters live in the deep water and under the undercut banks if you know where those are at.

If you go to the Putah Creek photo album, you'll see several pictures of 28" fish.  Some others appear to be at least that big.  So a 24 incher is a great fish but not close to a Putah creek record.

Memorable fish from Putah. A brown in Lake Solano back in the early 80's that was pushing the upper 20's. Two rainbows measured at 26" on the same day about a mile apart back in the early 90's. I've hooked 2 fish that were pushing 30" and have seen one fish while doing surveys that was well over 30".
