Early start before the heat wave sets in... Broke in the new Fish Pond Nomad as the smaller net just wasn't cutting muster..
A total of 5 good grabs with three landed. Nothing spectacular, but I'll take a 3-fish morning any day on Putah! They were between 13 and 17-inches... One came on a size 16 olive Bird's Nest with a silver lined glass bead and the other two fish fell for a size 14 Krystal Worm. Doesn't matter the time of year, but every time water is being released the KW works!
Need to find a new hook for my Bird's Nests. TMC's are getting weak!

I've had the same problems with TMC, especially the 200R. I prefer to go with a 2x hook on anything I tie for the creek. Check out Masa hooks, just picked up a few models from Kienes. I was lucky to make it out today as well, and went 2/6 losing each bruiser I hooked into after a few head shakes and runs.
These fish are looking SUPER healthy and FAT! You can tell from the size of their heads compared to their shoulders that they are getting a ton of food. So good to see! Truly a TROPHY fishery! Let's keep it going!
