Caught 2 and moved one that was easily over 2'. Didnt see a whole lot of fish activity. Not sure if this is concerning especially with the bass population? Did manage to pull a 23-25" to make up for the low numbers. I'll take that one fish any day of the year. IMG_0759.JPG

Any flies in the mouth?  Looks like the one of the few I hooked under the bridge last week. Whales under there.

Last Mon and Tues were very good days for a lot of folks and multiple fish.  Wed... was an entirely different story.  I couldn't have bought a bite despite the hatches going on!  A hardy congrats on a fine fish~

Nope. If you hooked up to a two footer you'd know real quick. 6x doesn't turn their heads. Also, you could've hooked into some bass. A buddy of mine has seen them under the bridge.

6x... Ha strictly 4x and yes I saw the fish rise, run, and break me off.  You seem to be quite the expert amongst the board.  Good to see your years of fishing Putah pay off. yawn

You hooked up on a dry? I just assumed it was 6x. Lots of people get the mind set 6x is the way to go. Must've been a decent fish. this fish ran up streak against the current. I use a little bigger than 4x so I was able to bulldog her.

No was nymphing with 4x, think I was fishing 20's.  Drifted the slot right in between the pillars, bobber down, and a monster surfaced and took me on a quick tour of my surroundings.   It ended up blasting up in front of the second pillar and once i put side pressure on it my line popped.  Hooked into two others at were easily the same size within an hour after, but same result.  Couldn't put enough pressure on to keep them from wrapping some on the bigger rocks down there.  All quality fish. Streamers also had hook ups down under the day prior.

Nice. I've use to use a 5wt with 5x and had the same result on a monster fish awhile ago. Did whatever it wanted and couldn't turn it even if I tried. After that I switched to a heavier setup. PC has big fish. Gotta fish it like they're there.
