Hey can you guys keep an eye out for 3 kayaks? I found one and plan on going back thursday to get it but there are still 2 missing so please let me know if you find them and I will or better yet just grab them and call me or solano county sheriff or winters Fire. I was fishing the creek today when it all went south at the Guide Hole for the 3 young people in them and I was the one that helped the 2 girls get medical care by running them to winters fire dept then brought fire rescue back for the 3rd-- a 17 yr old boy who was stuck on the back side. I got the contact info for the girls' sister and spoke with her and she would like to get the kayaks back as they are her dads and obviously pricy. I checked access 1,2,3 and only found one so please let me know if any one finds one or both of the other 2 and I will either give you their phone # or call them and give them your #.
Thank in advance
Richard
ps the girls are scraped and bruised but otherwise fine They dont plan on doing this again any time soon
The creek is dangerous - specially to inexperienced kayakers/ rafters (and I assume these people are inexperienced are if they are borrowing 'yaks). A UCD student tragically drowned in 2014. The PC is deceptively tame in sections and especially treacherous in others.
I have collected paddles from the bushes many years in a row as if there was a yard sale going on upstream. I've passed them on to new owners since.
One outing, I heard a commotion upstream of where I was fishing and then saw flotsam coming down including an orange dry box containing the owner's wallet and car keys. After fishing a bit longer, I drove back upstream to find a father and son standing next to their locked car. They were happy to have those items returned...
