2nd surprise on Putah!

My buddy and I decide to make a quick trip to PC last weekend. We got on the water around 4:00. Started around access #3 and quickly picked up a few small (12") bows on midges and micro mays. As it started getting towards dusk we started seeing fish heads popping. I didn't take the time to put on a tapered leader so I just had about 4 feet of straight 5X for tippet. Put on a size 18 black Elk Hair caddis and starting getting fish instantly. No need for a perfect drift, they were hitting it as it skated across the surface and even while I was dragging it upstream. Still small fish.

Then made a cast and started skating the fly and WHAM! fish on...

It's been a while but this is not the first brown I have caught on PC in a few years...they are in there but rare.

It's the real deal, just incorrect use of "dusk".  Search my posts, I've caught them there before. I've go no reason to BS the board.

No idea what wolf tickets means....my posts with pics of other PC browns must be too old to still be in my "topics started" list. I'm ok if you guys are skeptical. There are several guys here who know me and have fished with me to know I don't BS about fish caught...

If this is the real deal than they're definitely spawning in there somewhere. That's not an old fish.

Just wanted to add that I saw what looked very much like a brown last april by the dam. It was about 16-18" long and was cruising around in the really deep slow moving water. From other posts I've read on here, I would have expected that if there were any left they'd be really old and maybe in or near lake solano rather than the dam. Seems like someone would see them when they're spawning. Is it possible to tell the difference between rainbow and brown redds?
