Found in the mens room at no. 4 access.this is a special rod and you will need to give me a detailed description. So...... If anybody heard about someone leaving their rod, send 'em here. Aloha, mudhen

Hope it's mine. I actually left it at Access 1. Went back for it about 10 minutes later and it was already gone (there was another car parked there when I left and it was gone when I got back). It's a 4 weight and there's a name on the rod - first name is "Cal" - hope that might be the one you found and that someone left it at Access 2. I've had it for many years. Please let me know, and thank you very much.

Sorry to hear it's not mine, but hope that means good news for someone else. The rod itself is important, but the most frustrating thing is forgetting it. My memory isn't the first thing I've lost. I forget what the first thing was, though.

Thanks so much for posting and for being generous. Too many people would just say "finders keepers". Good to know people like you are out there.

It's just basic human decency. I have met so many really nice guys since I started fly fishing, free with good advice and help and ready to lend a hand. This really is a brotherhood of some really cool folks and I am only doing my part. Finders keepers is when you get snagged and get a couple of free flies from the branch you hooked.

I usually fish it end of Feb to mid October. Most fish are post spawn now. Very few spawning now.

Main Spawn is done, some scattered laggards, some larger post-spawners will likely be beat up and won't put up much of a struggle, avoid walking on gravel beds at deer sign and Access 3 until April. Good Luck!

Good to know the spawn is winding down. Great for the fish, and of course for us fisherman. I'm looking forward to hitting the creek in a few weeks, without looking over my shoulder. Tight lines everyone!

I just wanted to thank Rich as well for doing the right thing, Karma goes a long way! Also would like to repeat Steves reminder to still be very careful wherever you wade until late April. I have found over the years that the fish in putah will spawn in many not so likely areas, so just be aware.
