I fished the creek today. The rain must have scared everybody but the fish away today.  I strated fishing aroud the bidge area with size 16-18 zebra midges, phesant tails, and serendipitys with no luck down to the hole across from the trailer park. After yet another snag I put an egg pattern on and first cast I was into a Putah pig, I ended up breaking him off at my feet after a great fight and I would judge him to be in the 20 inch range.  I continued to catch fish back up to the bridge all in the 12 to 16 inch range and in the same holes that I fished on the way down.  The river was on the rise all day and off color.  When I left my house this mornning the gage was at 392 and when I got home at 2:30 the gage was reading 795 and it was still rainning all the way home.  Hopfully the river doesn't go any higher.

Well, it's still raining and the creek is still rising.  As of 9:15 PM, the flows were at 1170 cfs.  It looks like we're not going to see the low flows very much this Winter.  The fish don't seem to mind much, though.  You just have to adjust your tactics a little.
