I made it out to the creek Friday. It rained most of the day, and I only saw two other fishermen. I started out by the bridge and landed two fish, both about 12 inches. Later, I moved down to #5 and fished the other side of the island. I hooked a nice-sized fish in the fast water. He took off downstream when he realized what was going on. I followed him as far as I could, but eventually the water was too deep and fast. I thought for sure my tippet would break as I was using 5X and the water was still pretty fast. But I was able to horse him in against the current. The nice-sized fish turned out to be an 18" carp. It was disappointing, but it was a fun fight.
