I've fished the creek a few times the last month. Surprised at how much trash was around. Found a bunch of large barbed hook rigs on yards of line. I think we all need to make a commitment to take a few handfuls out each visit. Beautiful place that needs a few more stewards.
On Sept 20th, we had a group cleanup for the Creek and took out quite a few bags of trash. Most of us are concerned about this issue and do our best to keep Putah clean. You should sign up for one of these events as you can not only cart out trash, but also meet some of the PC veterans who are usually happy to share tips with fellow workers.
I also think most of us (like Dr. Dan) operate our own trash collecting mission when we fish. Can't help that a lot of ignorant people frequent the area.
