Drove up to the north end of the lake and fished for just about 2 hours.  i had a job to do at my parents so it was a rather late start with the float tube getting in the lake just after 12 noon. If the number of bass boats on the lake are any indication, the bite must be on fire, however,  the few people i talked with while on the lake said it was rather slow.

my guess is everybody was thinking the same thing, unseasonably warm with a weekend pushing 70 just before a major storm mid week.  fishing may have been better earlier in the day but then again im no bass fisherman in a poor mans bass boat so take it at face value.  i managed 2 solid grabs and lost both fish. Iwas probably fishing too shallow this early in the season, but its what im used to.

Historically its always been great around Easter, when the redbud starts to bloom and the expensive toys burning expensive gas being pulled by expensive trucks start showing up everywhere.  Easter must be running late i guess.

The mid week storm Wed-Sat, will probably screw things up for next weekend, given fair weather the following week  should really prove productive for the subsequent weekend.  I imagine it will be a zoo up there.

Slight break in the weather for Friday/Saturday and Putah is blown out.
Spring steel?
Quick jaunt to the lake?
