Myself and a couple of buddies fished the Lower Sac in Redding last Friday,we launched out at the possie grounds and drifted down to Sac RV.The fishing was decent but not on fire.I think we boated probably 10 or so fish, a few of those were nice size. There were really no hot bugs for the day, a mixture of prince nymphs, dark lords, black wd-40 and egg patterns.Long leaders with 3x to 4x tippet.

I have been checking out this message board for a while now, and I finally decided to chime in.

A buddy and myself fished the Lower Sac just up from Posse Grounds last Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was wet, and not productive, but Sunday was better. I caught 3 rainbows from 14-21in and my buddy caught a nice 18in. In about 2hrs of fishing. All on egg patterns.

The guys in the drift boats were killing it. They seemed to be catching one right after another. Its frustrating to be on shore battling to catch fish and watching these guys castch one after another.

Too bad the river levels are rising again.

Tight Lines,
Matt
