It was my lucky day on the Yuba. Started out slow. Caught a few fish down by Hammond moved upriver and caught this weird looking fish. I am guessing it was blown downriver out of Deer Creek.
I took a few looks at that pic, and for the life of me, I am not sure what you caught. It would seem to be some sort of hybrid, but not sure what it is. Still, very cool to catch a fish you haven't seen before.
BTW - were there still a bunch of salmon on redds at Hammon, or are they toast?
Here's a little better picture. Flows were up due to the Rainstorm about a week ago. Fish have moved around, and probably will continue to move upriver or just float down.
