I was at the creek today with 2 clients doing a class at the guide hole and stumbled upon a fish cat float tube with a spinning rod sitting on top of it, and a pair of waders with fins piled up right next to it. Everything was completely dry and there was leaves on top like its been there for at least a couple of days. the pockets of the tube were open with a pair of sun glasses in plain veiw and a pouch with rubber worms and some other fishing stuff in it. The other pocket had a flashlight and batterys and a fishing license with the name of Carson Douglas Riley from Windsor Ca. There was also a set of car keys on a lanyard and the keys were of a generic type made probably at the hardware store so I couldnt tell of the vehicle make . Has anybody out there seen a car parked maybe at the upper bridge for the last few days? I spoke with a buddy of mine who is a Solano county sheriff and he's looking into it. It seems really wierd this whole senario and Im hoping that whoever this Carson person is , is ok. Im heading back up there tomorrow after work to see if its still there and to maybe look around a bit closer. Oh btw there was a lion kill of a deer ( about 3 to 5 months old) only about 50 ft from the tube.
Geeez, maybe I should pay a little more attention to my own website!!!! Well mysheriff buddy just texted me and said they located the guy and he is at work right now and aware of his stuff still there. I cant figure out why he would cross where he did with all the brush on the north side of the creek. I assume he may have floated down to that spot but that would be insane in a float tube. Also Ibelieve the property on the south side of the creek in that area is private and belongs to a deer club owned by Mel Toponce. And lastly how the hell would a person carry a 120-150 pound deer across the creek?? The whole story sounds kinda fishy to me.
If that's the case, he was definitely putting in some effort to create a cover story. He had a steelhead tag with 5 fisam documented for this season...
