I had a couple of hours between classes, so I headed up to the creek to check out the flows today. The creek has dropped quite a bit but is still high. With the receeding water you can see the drastic change that the high water has had on the appearance of the creek. Some areas are totally different. I also walked along Cold Creek to check out the spawners. There were quite a few BIG fish in there last week. KHB and I were wondering if they would make it back down stream or if they'd be stuck up there when the water came down. It appears that they've done their thing and have moved back down stream after this last rain. There are still eggs in the gravel in Cold Creek, so please BE CAREFUL not to step on them when crossing to head up towards the dam. Thank you to all who left these fish alone while they were spawning.
