Hi, I fished Putah during the late 60's and early 70's. The fly fishing bug has hit me again. As a newbie, could you suggest 3 fly patterns and sizes to start my collection?
Sorry I guess I didn't write the sizes, Putah Creek = small flies most of the time, 18-20 is usually best. Wd-40's (red, olive, black), egg patterns, san Juan worms, princes and copper johns also work pretty well, just keep um small.
