So if you haven't heard there is now a hex hatch at Lake Davis.  This is great news for the locals around Portola, and the fly fisherpeople that like to fish lakes!  The funny thing is how the guides are interpreting this....  Why get all wound up about a big lake with a bunch of big planted fish...  There are better places to fish with big mean wild trout and ripping smallies!
