Meeting some friends in Yosemite next week for four days. I might wander down to a river for an hour or so. I'm thinking about taking my 4 weight and a selection of small flies. Any suggestions?
I fished hetch Hetcthy last week and landed a couple of nice browns on streamers. Went hiking later in the day and day and saw some BIG bows slurping in the surface debris line on the north side of the lake.
About two weeks ago, I caught three little brown trout in one hour on the merced river at Yosemite National Park. All were caught on DRY flies after 5pm! Parachute adams in size 16 worked pretty well.
Thanks for the responses. As it turned out I was the driver and took our friends on sight seeing tours. I didn't get an opportunity to fish at all. East Bay Ed
