Im almost certain that my eyes were playing tricks on my today but I could have sworn that I saw a salmon rising at access 3 today.  Is this possible?

It is possible as the flows were around 500cfs last sunday and SCWA could have opened up a gate to let the water out, but not very likely. If it was nearly black with white skin falling off then it was a salmon. If not, it was probably one of those salmon sized trout. For the most part chinook salmon do not rise... The salmon migration is nearly over those that are left a considered moldy chum...

There is a pretty massive beaver dam on lower Putah Creek that the salmon cannot get past.
