Haven't been out to Putah as much this summer compared to last, but overall I've had some pretty decent outings.

Went out yesterday and fished from 2-7PM.  I've tried a few new flies this year one of which is Arams Secret Agent Brown or Olive and had some really good days on that fly.

I've noticed that my past two visists I haven't had any success with it so I switched over to a fly I had success with last year at this time and had 11 good hook ups, all were really aggressive.  Managed to get 4 to the net.  I've noticed they are getting darker as fall approaches.  I've also noticed that the average fish I catch is probably two the three inches bigger than last year.  Looks like the hard work Putah Creek Trout is putting in is paying off!

It seemed like the hits I was getting earlier this summer were really light strikes compared to yesterday.  I had one just pull my indicator under and across stream before jumping and getting off the hook...

Saw an Osprey flying over headed towards the dam.  I seem to remember seeing one last year that would always fly that way in the evening, pretty cool seeing those big birds.

Overall a darn good day and I'm just happy Putah is there as well as them fat trout so I can make a half day trip when I get a chance!

Here's some pictures of the fish I managed to get to the net.

Hey Collin if you read this, all of these were caught where I was yesterday on that rock!

I'm off to do my online report!
