Flows at 562 cfs. Fished above and below bridge - one small fiesty trout and a larger tug. Thats it for the day. Waded across to Shon's hole. It looked like no one had been over there in a whie as there was a thicket of blackberry and that tall grass stuff. I'm sure I created a few small holes in my waders stomping through. I didn't leave empty handed though.... I found abother kayak padle. This makes two years in a row at almost the same exact place!

That is hard core!! I used to try and be the first one to Shon's spot. I don't think I have ever made it over there at 562... I usually wait until about 400 cfs. Right now you would probably need three SSGs just to get down to the fish!!! Try the slot below... Swing some big soft hackles!

Yeah fishing has been tough recently. Last tues me and Rich were up there and I got a couple nice fish, both in the 16-20 inch range, and a few small parr. But all my fish have been coming from near the bridge. Was up there yesterday too, and only managed to fool one of size. He might have gone 12". I sighted him holding and then managed to spook him with careless line placement. But after harassing him for a good half hour he finally decided to chomp one of my flies. And then promptly shook off after going aerial.

But fishing below access one has been tough and unproductive this month. For me at least. I'm getting my flies on the bottom, but the fish aren't there or aren't interested. On a side note, I must look like a fool slinging 5-6 BBs down at access three. Knew I shoulda bought some SSGs at Sweeney's yesterday. Even the boulder garden upstream of three has been slow, and I always find at least small fish in there. Can't wait till flows come down and they go on the pre-spawn chomp.

The pic below is the biggun from last week.

Thats a great pattern. I prefer a tan versionblankstare. Going to need some heavy weight to get the right drift.
