Hey Richard have you ever heard of Fishpond or William Joseph?  Yeah they are these great companies that make things called "fly fishing vests" and even "lumbar packs".  Not sure if your local shop carries these hard to find products but I have seen many flyfisherman using these to carry their fly boxes.  biggrin

Congratulations Rich.

It's a good thing when we all look out for each other in this way.  We all know how horrible it is to lose a fly box and how great it is to have it returned.  If I were that guy, however, I'd steal a few flies (the best ones) and give you back the rest.  wink

When I lost my fly box last year I offered $50, but the guy wouldn't take it so I gave it to Putah Creek Trout and everybody was happy, including Steve!  So that's my advice if you can afford it.

One final note, you should consider attaching your fly box to your vest with a pin-on or something like that.  Every once and a while I find that I forgot to zip up my pocket and there it is dangling by the wire - safe and sound.

It is a good thing you wrote your name and number on your fly box!! I have heard so many stories of people losing their fly boxes that when I get a new one I always write my number on it. Rich has a vest I think African Angler donated the vest to him. The East Carson has been planted heavily in the past few weeks if you guys are looking for some fun fishing!

Yes he has a very nice Simms vest....truth be know I think I prefer it to my new one!!! Anyway as I would always tell Richard there is no point in having a vest if you don't close the pockets!!!! Maybe this little incident will finally scare him into action!!!
