Had fun trying out my new Cabella's 10' 4wt CZN rod. I think it performs great. Had a monster on briefly. Easily the largest fish i have seen on the Putah (not in a grip & grin photo that is). He flew out of the water when I set the hook and tail walked across the water until he broke my fly off. not sure I would have enough rod to turn him anyway. Really difficult access below the bridge, Shon's was too high to wade, access 3 was big and fast. I have been going down to access #5 but now that I hear about rattlesnakes....

850+! Putah is difficult at 300. At 850+, it's downright frustrating. The fish are there but are spread out and difficult to cast to. Dan

850 cfs is crazy. Someone's going to drown.

I personally love the high flows. smile You just have to find the right hole to fish.
