Flows are at 148 and the water is getting its summertime clarity since all the rotted weeds have left the system. You Otters don't care about flows do you? Time to take the secret weapon out of storage? Fished a couple of spots looking for post spawn fish today, no luck. I think the recent flow bump has put them off again.
Did anyone get caught up in that crazy quick increase of flows yesterday? In about an hour time the creek went from 130 to 250. The water quickly became dirty and a lot of debris came floating down.
Flows at 310. Fishing is really bad!! I saw two rattlesnakes floating down the river today. Best to stay away. The poison oak is growing like craazzzy.
Just thinking out loud.....would a quick increase "pulse flow" like the induce a larger amount of sedimentation to be moved in the channel versus a more gradual increase?

Not much effect at the usual pulses. You will not see any pulse releases capable of moving the sediment out unless Gloryhole goes over. Then you get channel changes, etc. We are due-historically the top over occurs every 7 years on average, last one in '05-'06.
