First of all I would like to thanks everyone involved with the mud snail / wading boot survey that took place yesterday Sat at access #5 at the creek. From what I could tell it seemed to be a huge success.Hopefully now it can be determined a little clearer what chemicals really do work best at eliminating the New Zealand Mud Snails that hitchhike on our boots when wading infested waters.I met alot of really nice people and talked alot about Putahs issues, fishing, tactics ect.I also spoke with a very good source concerning the very low flows of the creek so early in the season. He told me that they had to drop the flows the the current 45-55 cfs due to dam maintenance, but the flow rate will be increased to around 150 cfs on Thurs morn 11-17-05 and will then stabilize and or very slowly decrease as the days weeks and months pass. This is very good news for the spawners but not good news for anybody who wants to fish on Thurs 11-17or the day after as this fairly large increase will really slow the bite. Just wanted to give you all a heads up.
