57 CFS again and again and again

Many have noted that the USGS site has been stuck at 57 CFS For more than a week now despite the obvious increase in flow. I messages the isle manager. Here is his reply: "Thank you for your observations. It is impossible for me to tell from the graph what might be happening. I will let the Sacramento field office know of this potential problem. --- Joel D. The water gauge is probably twenty years old. USGS probably doesn't have any money to fix it. Flow change today. Otter flow estimate is about 60-70 cfs.

Looks like they're on to the fix:

"Dan, the encoder that measures the stage level had died.  Hopefully the gage will be back in service tomorrow.
