Before the thread question starts again for this October about whats up with the drastic drops soon followed by sudden jumps back up in the flows, I can tell you that its due to the cleaning of the Putah South Canal by Solano County Water Agency. They drop the flows to muck out the sediment and weeds in the Canal and then flush it out by bringing the flows back up quickly. This cycle will go on for at least 2 weeks and usually makes fishing difficult because the fish have to move around for self protection. Once they are done, the flows should hold around 150-200 for the month of November.
