Farewell to a great friend of the Creek

Our friend, African Angler, also known Alastair, will be leaving us for an undetermined length of time to make wine in Spain. Those of us who know Alastair have enjoyed working with him on numerous Putah Creek Trout projects, fishing various waters, and drinking his very special wines. His generosity with his time in helping others will be sorely missed, so thank you Alastair for your service, generosity, and friendship. We hope you will be able to rejoin us in the future; until then Tight Lines!

Thanks Cole.... I have had great times and met many great friends through fly fishing and in particularly through PCT. I am truly going to miss all of you guys and the beautiful streams and rivers of CA and the rest of the US, and with luck I will be back in the future.....the near future that is!!! Anyway I have not yet fulfilled my destiny of catching a dime bright coastal steelie yet!!!!

I thought you were just going over for a few months... Your best bet for getting a coastal steelie is moving to Oregon and following Greg S on his days off.... Rumor has it he can catch them on any day of the week...
