Some of the rivers have been blown out for much of this year, so I have had tons of fun fishing lakes. The lakes are pretty high as well. Using an intermediate camo line you can hook some of the wary fish. The wiggle tail works well on many lakes. There is a little lake that is the middle upper part of the Yuba system full of brownies... The wiggle tail is a miniature wooley booger tied on size 10 2487 with a long tail. If you want to fish dries the North Fork of the Yuba is where to go. Small yellow stimis and x2 caddis will work...
Thanks for the heads up Otter. My brother and I may be headed to our house in Nevada City here in a week or so. Gonna hit the north fork yuba for sure and maybe some lakes.
