I had been waiting for the flows on the Middle Fork to go down so I decided to head up there this weekend. On the way ,crossed Lake Oreville, first time I've ever seen it full. About 20 miles up Hwy 162, I find the road is closed with no access to where we want to go. Time to pull out the DeLorme , there are a lot of blue lines in this watershed. Fished three different creeks with mostly small rainbows with one surprise. As a bonus , we did some crevicing, this high water year has also been good for gold .

Nice looking water and that fish is quite the surprise. Are the results in that pan from one tray of material or is it from a five gallon buckets worth? If its just a single pan I'm quite impressed. Thanks for the report.
