Haven't checked in for some time now. Good to talk to you guys again. Life keeps me busy and my days on the water more precious than ever. Just wanted to remind everyody as Steve keeps doing to come out to the fundraiser on the 18th. There has been a lot of talk lately about Putah. What it is, what it could be, where it used to be. Bottom line is it's real easy to help out. The folks at Putah creek trout are genuine, caring anglers who are trying very, very hard to help this little fishery. Not to mention the doors are always open. Besides actually being on the water fishing the next best thing to do is hang out, tell some fishing lies and enjoy some libation while putting some faces to names. Once again the invitation is open to any and everybody. Oh yeah I have been flogging some water lately. Here's some fishies from the last 2 trips...
Thanks Cole. This will be our only big FR event this year and a great opportunity to pick up some great gear, wine, and spend some time chatting with the experts that know the creek's secrets. The fishing is coming back slowly, but surely. DFG is ramping up the Wild Trout evaluation process with new studies over the summer into next fall. Sign up with PCT and you will receive the details of volunteer opportunities, fishouts on local waters, and upcoming on-the-creek classes and derbies.
Be sure and buy pram raffle tickets, available on line @ $10 each, 5 for $40 for a chance to own a $2000 hand built beauty. No more than 200 tickets will be sold and buying 5 will give you at least a 1 in 40 chance of winning!
