Putah Creek Trout's Annual Wine Tasting and Fundraiser, June 18 at

Our fundraiser this year has been moved close to the Creek and the Wild Trophy Trout fishery. The Nature Center is a new educational facility, focused on the aquatic life of the Putah Creek region. PCT is the only regional nonprofit conservation organization focused entirely on improving the cold water fishery from Monticello Dam to Lake Solano.
Event Details:
We are featuring wine varietals from local and regional wineries. There will be opportunities to bid on or purchase bottles of the featured tasting varietals. The first tasting glass is included with ticket purchase; additional classes are $5 each.
Members of Off the Hook Guide Service will be conducting fly casting clinics and competitions for all levels of skill. The activity is free and equipment is provided.
Our featured raffle item is the mahogany wood pram hand built by Master Wood Carver, James Haan. $10 tickets are available at the event or online on our home page at www.putahcreektrout.org
There are over 40 high quality silent auction items, including guided fishing trips to regional waters, Orvis switch rod and reels, a rebuilt vintage bamboo rod, waterproof video cameras, primo-seat Giants tickets, sets of hand-tied flies, Patagonia outerwear, wine, vintage fly fishing equipment and folk art carvings, sculpture, framed fine art prints, shadow boxes and others items to be added.
Numerous raffle items including several gift certificates to regional fly shops, Cattlemens and Buckhorn restaurants, waterproof fly boxes, 5 wt. fly rod, Orvis 5 wt. reel, gift baskets, folding knives and multi-tools, wine, PCT branded and other clothing, with others items to be added. For those that can't attend, raffle tickets can be purchased online at http://www.putahcreektrout.org by clicking the red "Make a Donation" tab at the top of the homepage to buy tickets ($20 for 5, $40 for 12). We will add your stubs to the box for drawing and notify online winners by email.
Many items will be for sale including clothing, kids’ books and toys, and dozens of fly fishing books for $2-$5, various accessories and videos.
Directions: Lake Solano Nature Center is within 1-1.5 hour drive of most bay area locations. It is situated about 6 miles west of Winters on Highway 128. Coming from Winters, turn left at Pleasants Valley Road; parking is immediately to the left.

We are a week away from the fund raiser at LS. This is the last FR of this sort that we are likely to hold, so we encourage all to take advantage of the great buys, raffles, fly casting lessons, wine, and great opportunity to swap techniques and fish catching yarns. If you can't make it, you can buy raffle tickets online (see below). We particularly encourage you to buy tickets for the pram; right now the chances of winning are better than 1 in 100.
