Its worth repeating that the whole length of the creek from Monticello Dam to the tip of the island below Access 5 is where the special regs (year around barbless, artificials only, 0 take) are in effect. Lake Solano is being enforced under a 5 fish limit, bait can be used, interpretation of the reg.
Our website incorrectly lists the old regulations from pre-2010: our apologies for creating confusion for several people-we are working on the correction.
Illegal fishing with bait is still going on. Please report it when you see it to Cal-Tip online after you leave the creek. There's a link here on the Main page at the bottom with a big "Stop" icon..
Thanks for your help.

Has anyone posted those regulations at the RV Park. That is where 80% of the bait fishermen come from.
If you want to have an impact on the upper part of the creek near the damn, getting the regs to the RV park officials and having the warden visit the park during the summer would go a long way toward saving fish for the future.
I'm gone from the area now, or I'd lend a hand.

Wet and wild!
The regs sit on the registration desk in the resort office. Management reminds members and show them the sheet. We have offered to do classes on how to fish with barbless artificials, etc. Local Management shows interest in that, but doesn't follow up with us. Not much else one can do, other than report to Cal-Tip.
The regs. seem crystal clear to me. As for the resort, I can say this, I have on several occasions personaly seen the guy that cruises around in the golf cart inform people of the regs. long before it became catch and release year round.
I was there in my RV last weekend. There were a couple of sites with tent camping families bait fishing. I did let them know of the regs. Camp there several times a year and have yet to see anyone about them. Mostly guy in golf cart trying to run me off because I go in before I check in with the office.
