Fished the low flow section of the Feather today . Fishing was slow, one half pounder. Talked to six others , no one had any hookups.

I think Black Cloud was fishing above the Highway 70 bridge. Low flow is from the dam down to the Thermalito Afterbay. Fished it today and saw a "big golden trout with a funny mouth" and something to mark up my steelie card....

Nice fish there James.

Chris, we call those Feather River Browns. We fished Bedrock Park, you must have been up by the hatchery.

Fished the Feather on tuesday with Ryan J. and Hogan B. I realized 2 things in the first hour of fishing. Their where more people than fish and my 2 fishing partners get bored really fast, if they don't catch something in the first 30 minutes... Myself  on the other hand ,am old and stubborn. I stuck it out for another few hours and found 3 fish. All small 22"-23" adults...Oh ya....I also found a nice not so crome soft lip otter special....

Feather River Browns, Otter Specials, Golden Trout, they will fool you for the first few seconds of the battle!! One good run is about all those fish have.

MX 19 probably told RJ and Hogan the steelies were in the slow water...

The steelies are in the fastest, deepest water of the low flow... I have heard you should use a size 22 midge for best results!!!

It will take many casts around Bedrock to find a fish there...
