Hit the river yesterday with Brian. We did well in the early morning then it slowed considerably. Moved to another spot and consistently picked up fish through the afternoon but at a much slower rate. Between the 2 of we must of had 20 fish to hand. Here is a pic of Brian with the average size fish caught. Eggs and stones were the ticket. And here is a link to the first use of my GoPro video camera:
Hey Rich it was great fishing with you again. It was nice to see the fishing on the Yuba picking back up again, the past few weeks have been a lil slower than usual. I would be up for a repeat on the 18th if you are game. This time we will hit the second spot first and just fish there all day. LOL. I will tie up some stones for ya and Ill make sure i bring enough of those special beads and hooks for us both. Maybe this time around your buddy wont be such a baby and come with. As far as the day went, you just cant complain starting at 7 fishing to 1 walking and wading and landing 20 or so fish and hooking many many more. Definitely a big fish day, with several pushing the 20" mark with a couple just over 20. I did land 2 steelies that day, one hatchery and one wild which was a great plus to the day. Best day I have had on the yuba for a while.
I will try and put my photos up sometime this evening.
Tight Lines Brian

Thanks for the update. I was at the Yuba yesterday also and I really appreciate the tips you guys gave me. I was with the whole family so I didn't get much time on the water but it was still fun.

Was that you we talked to as we were finishing up?
Well glad we could be of some service, I have been doing a few guided trips lately on the Yuba and its starting to pick back up again which is nice to see. about 2 weeks ago right around the time frame that the first weather front came through the fishing really slowed down. Clients still hooked a good amount of fish but we had to work a little harder for them and for some reason the egg bit dropped off around 10am. This time though as well as when I fished it on saturday, I keep that bead on all day and it pick up fish through out.
